Social media influencer Anjali Arora, who rose to fame after a dance video to the song ‘Kacha Badam’ went viral, attended an event in Kanpur. Videos of her losing her cool at a DJ and slamming him for playing the song ‘Kacha Badam’ are going viral. Amid this, the organizer of the event has slammed the actress for her overreaction at the event.
The organiser claimed that he and the team behind the event had no idea that the song would offend the actress, as it was the main stepping stone in her journey to fame. Speaking to State Media 24, the event organiser accused Anjali of staging a publicity stunt.
The organiser said, “Yeh ek publicity stunt tha jo inke dwara kiya gaya tha. Har artist ko pata hota hai ki stage ki garima hoti hai. Agar stage par koi baat hui hoti, toh hum baad mein management team ke saath baithkar use clear kar lete," and added, “Kacha Badam song bajne par Anjali Arora kyun offend ho gayi, iska jawab woh dekar nahi gayi hai."
He further threatened legal action against Anjali and stated that he had invested lakhs of rupees in the event, particularly to bring Anjali in for a performance. However, he claimed that she barely appeared and left the stage within just 15 minutes after creating a scene.
While videos of the incident are circulating all over social media, Anjali is yet to react or issue a clarification regarding the accusations.
What happened at the Kanpur event?The videos that went viral featured Anjali Arora on stage as ‘Kacha Badam’ plays in the background. Soon after hearing the song, she turns around to speak to the DJ. One user wrote, “Anjali Arora got famous because of Kacha Badam, and now she’s getting angry at a DJ for playing the same song. What an irony."
Another user wrote, “Logo ko apni pehchan se samasya hai… waah… yahi hai downfall…." A third user wrote, “You won’t get a life of respect, no matter how hard you try."
Meanwhile, Anjali was recently seen playing the role of Sita in Mahakavya Shri Ramayan Katha. She was massively trolled after the film’s teaser was released. Earlier, she reacted to the criticism, saying that she did not feel upset by the backlash.
She said, “People are trolling me that I used to dance, so how can I play the role of Mata Sita? Everyone dances; which actor doesn’t dance? I love to dance; it is my hobby. I am not ashamed of it. No, I didn’t feel sad about it because we are public figures, and we have given the public the right to judge us. So, it is their wish to judge us positively or negatively. Everyone has the authority to like it or not like it."
